6 week study of Psalm
The adult study group will meet for at least 6 weeks, perhaps as much as eight weeks, for a discussion of the psalms. We are told by scholars that there are generally three types of psalms: psalms of orientation (life is good), psalms of disorientation (life isn’t good, much despair), and psalms of new orientation (life was rough but now God is leading us to something new). We will look at a sample of each of these psalms and discuss them as they affect us now. There is no right or wrong way to interpret the psalms. There is no book to buy, but participants should have a Bible handy. Different versions of Bibles help us in understanding the psalms, so variety is good. We meet by Zoom on Monday afternoons at 3 pm for about an hour. Registration is required if you would like to be included in the Zoom call. Please call Marilyn Ayer at 603-313-7556 or email Marilyn at firstname.lastname@example.org to register, or to ask questions.
