Holiday Concert by Carter Mountain Brass Band. Followed by a reception. The Carter Mountain Brass Band, under the baton of Debbi Gibson, is pleased to present the multi-media event “Christmas Around the World.” On Sunday, December 4th starting at 3:00 PM, the band will perform a program of Christmas music at the First United Methodist Church in Gilford. Along with plenty of carols that are well-known in this country, we’re excited to share some less familiar, but no less delightful carols from across the globe. As selected by conductor Debbi Gibson, the program will also feature Christmas songs from Broadway musicals and well-established traditional music. A Carter Mountain Brass Band Christmas concert would not be complete, of course, without the audience participating in our ever-popular perennial sing-along. With projected visuals accompanying the music, interspersed with poems and stories celebrating the season, this will surely be an event to remember. The audience is invited for dessert after the concert. A $10 donation will be appreciated, with proceeds to be split between the Church and the Band.
