    Pastor

    Pastor Jim was appointed to our church in 2017 to serve the people of the Lakes Region and to share the Good News of Jesus’ love.  His vision for Hope Ministries is to be a place where everyone can experience the joy of the Great Commandment to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and all your strength [and to] love your neighbor as yourself.”
    (Mark 12:30-31) 

     

    Jim is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and United Theological Seminary in Ohio.  He has served congregations in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.

  • Joyce Keyser

    Office Administrator

    Joyce has been the the Office Administrator for 23 years as of 2019.  She graduated from NH Technical College with an associates degree in Secretarial Sciences in 1981 and went on to run a local wholesale/retail business in Laconia for 17 years.  After her marriage in 1997 she left the world of business to come work at the church.  She is married to Jeff Keyser and they have one daughter.  She currently owns a farm stand called Shepherd's Hut Market and attends fairs and markets with her homemade sewn items, hand spun yarn, and food items.  When not working she enjoys reading.

     


  • Bonnie Weston

    Sunday School

         Bonnie is an elementary school teacher with a Master's Degree in Integration of the Arts from Plymouth State University.  She has been a member of the United Methodist Church for over 43 years and loves teaching children the stories of Jesus.  In Bonnie's spare time, she tutors elementary school students and leads a Bible Study at Golden View Health Care Center.  In the Fall Bonnie will be assisting her daughter, Amy, in teaching a Music Together Class for children ages birth-school age.


  • KAREN JORDAN

    MUSIC DIRECTOR

    Karen Jordan has directed the Wesley Choir and other music involved in the church.  She teaches singing and works with theater groups. 

  • Phil Breton

    Organist

    Phil is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.

        Teaching experience includes: elementary classroom, elementary band for 31 years and private lessons for 35 years.  Phil was organist and choir director at First Congregational Church in Meredith, NH for 25 years prior to coming to First United Methodist Church.  As a busy musician, you will see him performing for local theater groups and the Lakes Region Symphony.

    Faith Community Nurse

    Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Practitioner


    Wellness @ Hope Ministries includes both the practice of Faith Community Nursing and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministries.


    Kathy has been a Registered Nurse since 2011.  She completed her Faith Community Nurse Foundations Course in 2014 and has been working within this faith community since.  In September she will become the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Practitioner. 


    To be a part of this ministry is truly a blessing.


    Kathy has been involved in many other ways within this faith community.  She has been part of the Audio Visual Team, Praise Team, Wesley Choir, Mission Team, and Worship Team.
